- Cars: Max 6 years old
- Commercial Vehicles (e.g. pickups, vans): Max 10 years
- Returning residents: Up to 10 years

All cars must pass a roadworthiness inspection at Autoterminal Japan Ltd (ATJ) before export.

Paperwork Required to Import a Car to Jamaica
To import your car, you’ll need:
- V5 Log Book (UK title)
- Two IDs (e.g. Passport, Driver’s License)
- Bill of Lading
- Invoice from supplier
- Bill of Sight (completed by your broker)
- Odometer inspection certificate
- Import Entry (C87 form) (via licensed broker)
- Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
- Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
- Simplified Administrative Document (eSAD) (completed by broker)

Importing a car from the UK to the Cayman Islands typically takes around 40 days, from collection to port arrival:
- Day 1: Car inspected, collected, and transported to our HQ
- Days 2–8: Shipping arranged, optional modifications completed, vehicle delivered to the UK port
- Days 9–12: Vehicle packed and container loaded
- Days 13–38: Vessel shipping from the UK to George Town

Car Import Regulations – Cayman Islands
- Vehicles must be right-hand drive, with the passenger door on the left
